Addon vs replace clothing in FiveM

Custom clothing can be installed in two ways. Replace clothing swaps out an existing item, so a stock jacket becomes your new jacket. Addon clothing adds brand-new slots, so your item appears alongside everything that's already there.

Addon clothing is the safer choice for most servers, because it doesn't break other outfits or overwrite items players already use. Replace clothing still has its place for quick, single changes.

Our client work is delivered as addon clothing unless you ask otherwise, so it's easy to install and easy to remove.

Addon clothing also makes updates easier. If you want to change or remove an item later, you only touch that one resource instead of restoring original game files.

Some clothing scripts and stores need to be told about new addon items before players can buy them. Check your clothing script's setup if new items don't appear.
