How clothing slots work on GTA V peds

GTA V peds wear clothing in slots called components. There are separate slots for things like the torso, legs, shoes, accessories and undershirts, and each slot holds one item at a time.

Knowing the slots helps you plan an outfit. A jacket and the shirt under it live in different slots, so they can be mixed, while two items in the same slot can't be worn together.

We place each custom item in the slot that makes the most sense, so it works smoothly with the rest of the ped's wardrobe.

Some slots also hide parts of the body, such as arms or legs, so items need to be set up correctly to avoid gaps or doubled body parts.

If an item appears in the wrong menu or clashes with others, the slot setup is usually the reason.
